I agree with the positive reviews and wanted to share a few helpful details. The home is thoughtfully designed and worked well for our large family. The backyard felt spacious despite its size, and we loved the outdoor shower and fancy hot tub. The front yard, porch, and driveway are spacious, but the home is on a busy one-way street—important for families with young children. The primary bedroom is the only one downstairs. Its closet fit our one-year-old’s Pack ’n Play and worked well as a small nursery. The baby gate only works at the bottom of the stairs. The enclosed upstairs game room could serve as an extra bedroom if needed. The mini-splits kept the home comfortable. We appreciated the Yeti cooler, beach gear, plentiful towels, and easy checkout. The washer is located in a bathroom and had a strong odor that affected the room, but we notified the hosts so it could be serviced. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

This was by far the best place in Galveston we have stayed at! It is so beautiful and very well thought out. We travel with our dogs and this is the most pet friendly place I have ever stayed at. The host has thought of everything. This place was above my expectations and even better in person than what the pictures capture, even though the pictures do show how beautiful the house is. This place is 15/10. The house is so spacious and has everything and more that you will need. The beds are so comfortable and the bathrooms are so spacious and modern, which is sometimes hard to find in historical homes. What a treat it was to stay in this home! Highly, highly, highly recommend anyone going to Galveston to stay here! The Borden house 1900 storm survivor is the best and has it all! The hosts are wonderful and really make everything easy. The hosts and the house are AMAZING! Galveston Island 🏝️ gem 💎!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Terry's house in Galveston! It was exactly as pictured and everything was wonderful during our stay. We really enjoyed the hot tub and we were grateful for the outdoor shower to rinse off the sand from the beach. Everything was within a short drive from the house which was very convenient. We would be happy to stay again at Terry's house for future visits to Galveston!

The Borden House is a beautiful place to stay at. They did up grades that are fabulous and enjoyable. The different games up stairs in the game room are fun. We really enjoyed the sauna and the hot tub enjoy it with friends. I also love that it is pet friendly. They left snacks on the kitchen counter that we had before we started cooking. The Borden House is walking distance to the seawall and Murdocks, if you like to walk. Love that they also have beach chairs that are available to take to beach if you forgot yours. I highly recommend to stay at the Borden House. See you next year or maybe sooner. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

This is by far the nicest AirBNB we’ve stayed in a while! The layout was great and the history of the location was fascinating. The backyard is very nice, but unfortunately we didn’t get to use much due to the heat. What stood out most were the small amenities….boogie boards, shovels, beach towels, wagon, charmin toilet paper, spa quality shampoos and soaps, extra towels for pet paws…the list goes on! This place really made us feel at home! Definitely recommend!
